Beneficial contact with Nature and animals
Can you imagine the children's joy in a small Animal Ark, where they will get to know the nature and its animals through the enviroment itself? They will learn by experience and not with wooden horses or stickers with small deer or ducklings... As our life is becoming more and more urban and everyone's need, especially the children;s need, not to lose their connection with the countryside is becoming stronger, Vasilis Soukos's family has created a small easy-to-visit "Animal Farm" in some self-owned place, which functions as an example of respect and protection towards nature and animals. The farm is divided in two parts.
The first one extends inside the "Shooting Ground of Pyrgetos" and hosts deer, wildsheep mufflon, American sheep and other farm animals. The second one is housed in the "V. Soukos Estate ("Ktima")" (near the shooting ground) and it includes the stables and a restricted training ground for the riding horses, along with a beautiful pond with ducks and geese.
The visit to the farm is a combining experience of education and entertainment for small children, as they explore, wander, have fun in the simplest of ways, through observation, they enrich their knowledge about animals, they obtain respect for them and they cultivate their enviromental consciousness.
The small/young visitors are guided in the farm, in groups, by a person from the Shooting Ground and are accompanied by their parents.
